The Brain Memory

The human brain is considered to be the storehouse for memory based on information gathered from learning processes in life and the experiences we undergo. The brain helps to retain certain portions of such information. The categories for memory include the main three types of memory viz. sensory memory, short-term memory, and long-term memory. Sensory memory as the term implies is based on impressions gathered by sensory information. Short-term memory and long-term memory again refer to retaining information for shorter periods of time and longer periods of time respectively. All these three broadly-defined types of memory are further classified into sub-categories having certain characteristics in the style of memory.
